Living life with Unconditional Love can change your whole perspective of humanity. Just think of it. You are loved, and there is nothing you can do to stop it from happening. You can be a defiant person, and you will not stop this Love from loving you. You cannot change Unconditional Love’s mind. You are stuck with the fact that it is the truth! For a defiant person, this is something perplexing to grasp. So, who are you hurting by being defiant? YOURSELF! I bet you did not consider that all the things that God told you not to do that you do anyway only hurts YOURSELF. He does not cease loving you, but you do obstruct the flow of love coming into you. You are called to love. Every time you turn away from God, you are turning away from your blessings. Your inheritance is being squandered away by your own doing. He gives you this gift freely. It's up to you to accept it. Who doesn't love getting presents? What do we do with this box of Unconditional Love? Accept it! He loves you! You may be a lazy, cranky, cynical person, but news flash, God still loves you. You who may be emotional hurt, unwilling to forgive, carrying remorse and shame: God loves you. There is nothing you can do to stop this love. It’s just what it is! You, who make mistakes at every turn, He loves you! Hey, you, who have it altogether, He loves you. He loves the person next to you who doesn’t have a clue. His love is for all. There is nothing on earth you can bring about to have Him love you more then He already does. He showers us with His wonder and love. He is so crazy about humanity that He chose to come off His throne and live among us. He wanted to let us know that there was no reparation on our part for redemption because He was going to do it Himself. All you have to do is accept this truth, this fact, and love Him back. When you do this, you are returning Love for Love. This mindset requires you to no longer do things that hurt you, because it's your relationship with God you are putting in jeopardy. Unconditional Love teaches us a way to experience love. Yet, God knows our weakness and gives us a fail-safe system to be able to go to confession and express our sorrow for our waywardness. In return for having absolution, He dresses you in the garment of the prodigal son. Hence, you are welcome once again into the kingdom. He is so happy that you want to begin again, that He forgets your sins. You might ask, but why do we remember our sin over and over again, even after we confess them? I think it’s us reminding ourselves not to do that again. For example, when you put your hand on a hot stove and burn yourself, it’s a reminder not to do that again. If we forget our sin that caused much grief and shame, we might go back to doing it. By remembering, it’s a gentle reminder that this temptation, if acted upon, will turn you away from Unconditional Love, and you will lose the graces He gives. At Mass, you have an opportunity to experience a profound love that this world cannot understand. In our best interest, we should make our soul as clean as possible. You should be eager to go to confession and talk with God frankly. Father God, I am so sorry I was not behaving as I should, and I am willing to try to be better because I love you too much. I want to be able to say that every day to you, without putting a condition on it. I want to have a radical love for you, the way you radically love me. I want to accept my cross and do reparation for my sins. If I can for others too, so that all of humanity can enjoy this love for eternity. I will then run to the altar and receive this Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity of Jesus! Remember, do not reject this gift but allow it in to flow continually. Then you also will have a different outlook on life. Amazing Grace, why do you love me so! One last thought of wisdom from my mother, “We might not understand each other but there is always love.” Always united in the Eucharist, Madie Araujo Christ Our King, Mount Pleasant, SC

I am just an ordinary person who writes articles reflecting on my personal encounters with our Lord and how to help you develop a deeper spiritual life with Him. Being trained in Christian Healing Ministry and Order of St. Luke’s, I followed Mother Mary to Lourdes who showed me how "She" wants me to continue spreading encouragement, hope and joy.
